Abstract

The article presents the author's views on the article "The experience of puberty" by Shirley Hoxter that was published in 1964. Hoxter focuses on three teenagers who were struggling with anxiety that was aroused by pubertal sexual development. Also discussed are the factors that contributed to their anxiety, Hoxter's contributions to child psychotherapy, and the impact of puberty on mental health.
